Challenge
The State of Oregon initiated a spend management program named Oregon “Smart Buy” in order to deliver cost savings, increased accountability and foster an environment of collaborative procurement among the state agencies. They required a vendor management solution that would help the State achieve the best combination of quality, service and price for purchased services.
Solution
nextSource serves as the vendor manager for each issued Work Order Contract at fourteen state agencies. The deployment of nextSource’s Talent Acquisition Management Solution (TAMS) has enabled the migration of the State’s acquisition processes from a paper intensive process to a web based environment. TAMS facilitates the acquisition of hourly IT consultants as well as deliverable based projects from a pool of Oregon registered IT Services suppliers.
